Theo Bennett
Founder and writer, Hello Little One
I'm Theo, and I started Hello Little One when my partner was pregnant with our first child.
What struck me most was how much information there was. Books, apps, leaflets, forums, and advice from everyone we knew. Nearly all of it was well meant and most of it was useful, but it was hard to know what mattered this week and what could wait. What helped most was a small dose each day: a short read about what was happening right now, so I could support my partner and knew what to focus on.
That became the daily email. It draws on the many books we read during the pregnancy and on current NHS guidance, boiled down to a few minutes' reading each morning.
Then our baby arrived, and with them a whole new set of questions. What they liked and didn't, the decisions we made and why, and the things nobody really prepares you for, like sleep cycles and sleep regressions. You can read a lot about all of it, but it's rarely in one simple place. So Hello Little One grew into this website: practical guides, honest reviews, and what we learned the first time round.
I'm not a midwife or a doctor. Everything health-related here follows NHS guidance, and it's no substitute for advice from your own midwife, health visitor or GP.
Theo Bennett is a pen name. I'd like to keep my family's life private, but everything I write about is real.
